This was the entrance to the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam. Yesterday. Because from today, you can no longer see it.
It will be deleted.
It was created by an artist called Panmela Castro and it's called: Together we are stronger.
It was made on the occasion of International Woman's Day
At the invitation of women's fund Mama Cash.
Castro is founder of a feminist network of Brazilian activists and artists who use graffiti to bring women's rights and violence against women to the attention of a broad audience.
With this work, Castro calls attention to the murder of Brazilian politician Marielle Franco in 2018.
One more, from inside the museum:
Linking to Colourful World.

Prachtig!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a pity the mural is being removed as it's a great tribute to all women who die in violent crimes.
