Straat again, the Amsterdam Museum for Street Art and Grafitti.
This week I have two paintings to show to you.
The first one, is called Bluey and made by Dvate.
He's very proud of the wildlife in his homeland Australia. This is a skink.
And the other one is made by Royyal Dog and titled Encourages.
Royyal Dog is well-know for his portraits of black women and he added a the traditiona Korean dress (hanbok) to this black woman
I must say I don't understand why that woman is painted like this. But it is very nicely done!

De skink viel me bij de eerste foto al gelijk op. Je wordt er wel nieuwsgierig naar waarom de vrouw een hanbok draagt, mysterieus, maar waarom ze nou niet gewoon rechtop neergezet/neergehangen is...

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI was going to say that looked like a blue tongue lizzard from Australia. Funny to see it in Amsterdam. A friend of ours lives in a retirement village nearby and there are a few lizzards there. I like the mural with the woman, I wonder why she is sideways...
