Delftware by Hugo Kaagman

Pottery, also known as Delft Blue or Delftware,  is famous in the Netherlands and probably also in some other parts of the world. 

Delft,  a historical city in the Netherlands, was the major centre of production.

This time no pottery, just another beautiful mural.   Delft Blue. Made by Hugo Kaagman.

I visited Delft last week and it was raining all the time. I did not want my camera to get wet, so it was rather difficult, with an umbrella, to make a nice picture.

The mural depicts different things  related to Delft. Such as:

Johannes Vermeer, our famous painter (Girl with the pearl earring).

Or William of Orange, leader of the Dutch revolt. Founder of our state. 

He was killed in Delft in 1584

I was in Delft to visit an exhibition  of another famous artist: Pieter de Hooch. That exhibition was in The Prinsenhof where the bullet holes of the murder are still to be seen:
