We were for a short holiday in Zeeuws Vlaanderen, in the South of the Netherlands. And there, in a small but interesting town called IJzendijke, we found this mural:
Made by Joost Heeren. The painting refers to paintings by old masters, Rembrandt en Vermeer. Do you recognize the Jewish Bride and the Milkmaid?
Tijl Clement made the table and the sofa. It seems to come from the painting. You can sit on it for a while and take a rest.
And in Breskens, another small town, we saw this:
Probably not great art, but it made me smile!!!

Love both, and agree, the second one made me smile, also.
That´s probably how I look like when a dog comes near... though with the years a started to bravely just walk on.

Ook daar heeft men aandacht voor deze moderne kunst...
Ik vind de eerste heel erg leuk. Daar zou ik zeker aanschuiven. De tweede vind ik minder, maar vrolijkt wel die lelijke muur op.
De eerste is mooi en bijzonder. De yweede maakt mij ook aan het lachen.
De details op die eerste muurschildering zijn ook geweldig. Inclusief de tegelvloer op de voorgrond!

i absolutely adored the Old Masters, but laughed at the "new" master. So different, but both quite nicely done.
Het hoeft niet altijd hoogdravende kunt te zijn, wanneer iets je blij/vrolijk maakt of een lach teweeg brengt is het zeker ook waardevol.
Wat zie je toch een leuke dingen tegenwoordig op dit gebied. Ik geniet er van als ik een mooie of leuke muurschildering zie.
Die laatste ken ik ook!
